Direct tax collections upto November 2016 show net collections are at Rs 4.12 lakh crore which is 15.12 per cent more than that for corresponding period last year.
Till November, 2016, 48.67 per cent of the Budget Estimates of direct taxes for FY 2016-17 has been achieved.
Indirect tax collection figures (Central Excise, Service Tax and Customs) till November 2016 exhibit that net revenue collections are at Rs 5.52 lakh crore. It is 26.2 per cent more than the net collections for the corresponding period last year.
Till November 2016, 71.1 per cent of the Budget Estimates of indirect taxes for Financial Year 2016-17 has been achieved.
