Petrol, diesel prices continue to surge; Check September 18 rates here
Continuing its steep rise, the fuel prices touched new high on Tuesday (September 18) as petrol was priced at 82.16 per litre, while diesel cost Rs 73.87 per litre in Delhi, increasing by 0.10/litre and 0.9/litre respectively in the national capital. Whereas in Mumbai, petrol price increased by 0.10 litre, hitting the Rs 89.54 per litre mark, while diesel’s rate touched Rs 78.42 per litre, increasing by 0.9 litre.
“Petrol at Rs 82.16/litre (increase by Rs 0.10/litre) and diesel at Rs 73.87/litre (increase by Rs 0.9/litre) in Delhi. Petrol at Rs 89.54/litre (increase by Rs 0.10/litre) and diesel at Rs 78.42/litre (increase by Rs 0.9/litre) in Mumbai,” News Agency ANI reported.
Fuel prices have been hitting new high since August 16 owing to a drop in the value of rupee and rise in crude oil rates.
Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Sunday gave assurance that he can supply petrol-diesel at the rate of Rs 35-40. He added that the Modi government could be heavily affected due to the steep rise in fuel prices in the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier, states like Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal had slashed the fuel rates in their respective states. To hang big relief to the common people.
