At least seven persons, including a toddler, were killed and 25 others were injured when a bus enroute from Bangalore to Mumbai caught fire in Karnataka’s Haveri, reports said on Thursday.
The bus caught fire after hitting the divider as the driver lost his control, reports said.
A total of 52 passengers were on board. Those seriously injured were admitted to a hospital in Hubli, while those with minor injuries are being treated at Haveri district hospital, police said.
The Volvo bus belongs to a private operator. The incident took place on National Highway 4.
