WATCH | Bengaluru police nab chain snatcher in FILMY style
In This Operation Two Policemen Also Got Injured. Constable Mahesa Nayak Sustained Fracture Of Left Hand Fingers And Constable Basavaraj Sustained Back Injury.
The Bengaluru Police on Tuesday early morning arrested a chain snatcher in a pure filmy style in HSR Layout police station limits. The accused has been identified as Somashekhar alias Soma, a resident of Anekal Taluk.Speaking to News Nation Dr Borlingaiah DCP South East Zone Bengaluru said, “The accused had come to the area early in the morning around 5:30 am. Our team got information about his attempt to commit chain snatching and him coming in a Maruti Omni car. Our team coordinated very well to chase and nab him. During the chase he came across a dead end hence he got out of the vehicle and climbed the roof of a house. The asbestos sheet of the roof broke and collapsed bringing him down and we nabbed him. "In this operation two policemen also got injured. Constable Mahesa Nayak sustained fracture of left hand fingers and Constable Basavaraj sustained back injury. In the last 48 hours four chain snatching incidents have been reported from Bengaluru city following which security has been tightened across the city.
