A Border Security Force Jawan Had Asked His Neighbours In Beharampur-Tema Village On Tuesday Evening Not To Cut A Tree For Which He Was Allegedly Beaten And Has Developed Injuries, Police Told On Wednesday.
A Border Security Force jawan had asked his neighbours in Beharampur-Tema village on Tuesday evening not to cut a tree for which he was allegedly beaten and has developed injuries, police told on Wednesday."Four persons of a family attacked the BSF personnel Rajkumar Verma after he asked them not to cut a tree," district additional superintendent of police Antar Singh Knet told PTI.Verma was grievously injured in the attack and has been admitted to the district hospital, he added. The accused have been identified as Devendra Verma, Rajendra Verma, Keshav Verma, and Jitendra Verma. They have been booked under various sections of IPC and efforts are on to arrest them. He said the jawan, posted in Gurdaspur sector, recently came home on leave.
