National women hockey coach Inderjit Singh on Wednesday died while his wife suffered serious injuries in a road accident near village Bhinderan on Sangrur-Patiala highway.
The accident took place when their car collided with a truck, police said.
Both of them were on their way from Patiala to Dhanaula.
Inderjit Singh (59) was a coach for national women hockey team, posted at Patiala.
His wife identified as Daljit Kaur was also a coach at National Institute of Sports, Patiala.
She was admitted to civil hospital here.
