Three persons were charred to death when their car caught fire probably due to CNG leakage in Sector 71 of Gurugram, said police on Friday.
Gurugram Police PRO said that three persons, Gajendra (38), Devendra (38) and Narendra (28) were consuming alcohol inside the vehicle on Thursday night when they saw smoke emanating from their car.
The trio was unable to get out of the vehicle as the doors got jammed. They were burnt alive, he said, adding a possible CNG leak could have triggered the accident.
The passers-by informed the police about the incident, a team of fire fighters and officers from Badshahpur police station rushed to the spot, Kumar said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, he added
