Gearing up for the upcoming Assembly elections, Delhi BJP will convene the first meeting of its state executive committee today.
Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi would inaugurate the meet, which will be presided over by Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel. BJP general secretary Ananth Kumar will also be present.
"All the state office-bearers, former presidents, leader of the opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly, deputy leader, legislators and permanent and special members would participate in the meeting," a statement from Delhi BJP said.
In a bid to attract youths, a conference of Bharatiya Jananata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members would also be held.
Goel said BJP would raise the issue of the youth through the BJYM in the forthcoming elections.
"When we had come to power in 1967, we had opened 18 colleges. The same way, when BJP will come to power this time 15 new colleges shall be opened and scheme will be framed for opening evening classes in the colleges where no such classes are being held." he said.
On the party's future course of action, Goel said BJP would provide books and laptops to all students at concessional rates.
