Delhi: Human skeleton found inside a tank in MCD school
A human skull and bones were found inside a tank at a municipality-run school in New Delhi’s Mukhmelpur village of Alipur area in Rohini, police said on Thursday.
School authorities alerted the incident to police on Wednesday evening, said police.
According to reports, the MCD school authorities were informed by labourers after they spotted the skeletons while cleaning the tank.
“A skull and some bones were recovered from the tank after a few labourers involved in the cleaning spotted it and immediately alerted the school administration,” said police.

The police were shortly joined by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team at the crime scene and a forensic examination report is awaiting to ascertain whether the skeleton is of woman or a man and how old was it exactly, a police official said.
Meanwhile, the police are also questioning school authorities, local residents and people access to the tank, it said.
The area has been sealed off and investigation is underway, police said.
