Delhi: Kerala nurse fired, attempts suicide by cutting
Jena Had Been Working On Contract Basis At The Hospital And Was Reportedly One Of The 20 Nurses Who Was Fired Recently.
Jena Joseph, a 33-year-old nurse allegedly tried to commit suicide on Saturday by injuring herself with a blade at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) Hospital in Delhi. Joseph, who hails from Kerala, allegedly attempted suicide in the premises of the hospital in south Delhi. She took this step after being sacked by the hospital the police informed.Jena had been working on contract basis at the hospital and was reportedly one of the 20 nurses who was fired recently.Joseph had been working as a nurse for the last four years and was sacked by the hospital authorities who said that her conduct was not good. Since being fired she was distressed said the police.Joseph was discharged from AIIMS after treatment for her injuries.
