Delhi man raped niece for four years to ‘treat her manglik dosh’
Delhi police has arrested a man for allegedly raping his niece for over four years on the the pretext of treating her ‘manglik dosh’. The paternal uncle of the 23-year-old woman had told her that she was having a ‘manglik dosh’ and it would kill her father if left untreated, police said.
The accused raped the woman regularly during the period of four years. He even called her after her marriage. However, the woman thought of sharing her ordeal with her father-in-law.

After being informed about the incident, the father-in-law took the woman to Narela police station and filed an FIR against her uncle on September 13.
“The accused is the paternal uncle of the victim who was arrested the same day of the FIR,” PTI quoted police as saying.

The Delhi police has sought the Delhi Commission for Women’s help to provide counselling to the victim.
