Services on Delhi Metro's Blue Line affected as trains go off radar again due to 'rare' technical snag
Signalling Control Was Lost Temporarily Around 9 Am Which Led To The Bunching Of Trains For About 10-15 Minutes
Commuters travelling on the Blue Line of the Delhi Metro faced a harrowing time on Thursday as signalling control was lost temporarily around 9 am which led to the bunching of trains for about 10-15 minutes. The control was regained at 9.15 am, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials said. On Wednesday as well, a ‘rare’ technical snag hit the services of Delhi Metro on the Noida/Vaishali-Dwarka Line. The problem persisted till late last night.
A senior official of the DMRC said Metro officials at the control room were intermittently losing sight and control of the trains. With trains going off the radar of the Operations Control Centre, services had to be controlled locally and manually. This resulted in bunching and holding up of trains at various stations from around 3 pm on Wednesday, the official said.

According to reports, snapping of a strand of Over Head Equipment (OHE) wires between Dwarka and Dwarka More station on the Blue line is the reason for the delay. Officials, however, said that train services were available at a frequency of 5-8 minutes due to intermittent signalling issue which resurfaced around 7 pm.
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, a technical snag led to a minor bunching of trains between Dwarka and Noida City Centre, the official confirmed, adding that rest of the Blue Line is running normal. "Train services are slightly affected due to signalling issue (Loss of centralized view intermittently) on the Karol Bagh-Dwarka section (Up line only-going towards Dwrka) on Line 3," a senior official was quoted by PTI saying.
