One arrested, car recovered in Delhi's Munirka rescue case
In a breakthrough to the Munirka rescue case, one person had been arrested and a car had been recovered on Friday, according to sources.
The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) had on Wednesday (July 25) rescued 16 women from southwest Delhi’s Munirka area, believed to have been on their way to be trafficked to Gulf countries of Iraq and Kuwait.
The DCW had alleged that the women were brought to Delhi on the pretext of employment and were kept in a small room for several days and added that their passports were taken away by the traffickers.
