Dense fog hits rail traffic in Delhi, cold wave continues unabated

Delhi woke up to yet another chilly morning on Saturday even as a blanket of dense fog enveloped the National Capital resulting in a delay of 49 trains, rescheduling of 13 trains, and cancellation of 18 trains due to decreased visibility because of fog/operational reasons. The minimum temperature in Delhi has been recorded at 6 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was 21 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted shallow fog in Delhi for Saturday morning. On Thursday, Delhi experienced the coldest day of the season with the temperature dropping to 5 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was recorded at 20.3 degrees Celsius.
