Faridabad: Tata Steel senior manager shot dead by sacked employee
A senior Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd (TSPDL) manager was shot by a fired former employee of the company in Delhi’s adjoining Faridabad on Friday.
The incident took place at around 1:10 pm in TSPDL’s Faridabad office where a former employee Vishwash Pandey pumped five bullets into senior manager Arindam Pal’s body.
Pandey fled the scene immediately after firing while Pal succumbed to injuries on his way to the hospital. The victim hailed from Kolkata and was a senior manager (supply chain) at the company’s Faridabad office. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Police said that Pandey was fired from his job in August this year on basis of a report submitted by Pal. They suspect that Pandey held a grudge against the victim manager for this reason and killed him to take revenge. They have also registered an FIR against Pandey and launched an investigation into the incident.
“The company had started an inquiry against Pandey and relieved him of his services four to five months ago, on grounds of indiscipline. The report of the inquiry, on the basis of which he was sacked, was submitted by the deceased,” Faridabad police PRO Sube Singh said.
