Delhiites woke up to a relatively warm morning with the mercury settling four degrees above normal at 15.4 degrees Celsius.
The weather office has forecast partly cloudy skies during the day. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 28 degrees Celsius.
Visibility was 1,500 metres at 8.30 AM. However, 17 north-bound trains were running late due to fog in other parts of the region, a railways spokes person said.
Humidity was recorded at 76 per cent at 8.30 AM, an official of the Safdarjung observatory said.
Private forecasting agency Skymet Weather said the rising trend in temperatures is likely to continue for some more days due to "back to back Western Disturbances approaching Jammu and Kashmir".
It is an atmospheric phenomenon that brings in moisture-laden winds and cloud cover while preventing incursion of cold winds, the agency said.
