'My wife will blow up plane': Man 'informs' Delhi Police to stop 'fidayeen' wife
Special Cell Of Delhi Police Received A Phone Call By A Man Who Said His Wife Is A Suicide Member Trying To Set Off Bomb At Delhi Airport.
On August 8, the Special cell of Delhi Police received a phone call by a man who said his wife is a suicide bomber trying to blow up plane at Delhi airport. The man told the police that his wife is a ‘fidayeen’ and set to trigger a bomb at airport.
The police said that the phone call, made on August 8, was ‘hoax’ and it all was done by Nasiruddin, 29, to stop his wife, Rafiya from leaving the country.
After it received the phone call, the Delhi Police’s special cell launched massive search operation and directed the airport authorities at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport to temporarily suspend the operations of international flights.
Nasiruddin was arrested in Delhi’s Bawana area and the police has registered a criminal case against him at PS Udyog Vihar, Gurugram which is the location of the office of DIAL Call Centre.
‘When his attempts to stop Rafiya from leaving India failed, he called up DIAL with the bomb threat call to prevent her from boarding the intended flight...”, tweeted Delhi Police.
According to Delhi Police, the accused owns a bag manufacturing factory in Chennai and had married Rafiya, his employee, who was now planning to leave India to work in the Gulf.
