New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party workers protest at Nirman Bhavan over Metro fare hike
Aam Aadmi Party Workers On Friday Protested At Nirman Bhavan Over The Recent Delhi Metro Fare Hike. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Has Been Against The Hike Since It Was Announced.
The Aam Aadmi Party workers protested at Nirman Bhavan over Delhi Metro’s fare hike on Friday. Police and CRPF were deployed so that no untoward incident could take place.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, has opposed the hike with utmost effect. He also wrote to Union Urban Affairs Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri that the Delhi government and Centre’s equal stake in the city metro was a “facadeâ€.Â
He also urged Puri to form an “independent expert group†acceptable to both centre and state to review all the thorny issues concerning the metro.
DMRC is in no way accountable to the Delhi government, nor does it pay any heed to our directions. Evidently the said partnership is only a facade that is being used for obtaining large contributions of funding from the Delhi Government,†said the Delhi CM.
