Noida Shooting | SSP says ‘certainly not a case of encounter,' four cops are suspended

Noida SSP Love Kumar while addressing the media on Sunday afternoon has said that the shooting incident which took place on Saturday night in Sector 122 is ‘certainly not a case of an encounter.’
Kumar said prima facie it seems to be a case of personal enmity and the police is verifying everything.
“The 4 policemen have been suspended with immediate effect. We have seized service revolver of the sub-inspector who fired the gunshots and sent him to jail,” said Kumar adding it looks like a case of personal enmity.
During the probe, it was found that the trainee sub-inspector knew the elder brother of the man who was shot. Besides sending the accused trainee sub-inspector to jail, the role of other three policemen, two constables, and a sub-inspector, is being investigated. All four of them remain suspended, said Kumar.

“Staff communicated to me that there had been some argument with the man (who was shot) during which the sub-inspector shot at him and they are taking him to the hospital,” added SSP Love Kumar.
Two youths were shot by the Police in Uttar Pradesh's Noida district Sector 122 on Saturday night which the family of one of the victims described as ‘fake encounter.’
