Noida SSP Vaibhav Krishna Suspended As Forensic Lab Finds Leaked Sex Chat Video 'Not Morphed'
Noida SSP Vaibhav Krishna Had Also Leaked A Confidential Letter Alleging Corruption In UP Police.
Noida SSP Vaibhav Krishna has been suspended from his post on disciplinary grounds for violating service rules. The suspension comes days after Krishna leaked a confidential letter written to the state government alleging corruption in the ranks of UP Police for charging bribes for postings of IPS officers. Krishna has been under investigation after finding himself the subject of an alleged sex chat video. He had alleged that someone had posted "morphed" sex chat videos to discredit him after he complained to the chief minister’s secretariat about the postings racket.
According to reports, UP CM Yogi Adityanath gave the order for Vaibhav Krishna's suspension based on the forensic test report of the video. Gujarat's forensic lab found "no sign of edit, alteration medication, morphing was observed in this video", said reports.
Meanwhile, the five police officers named in Krishna's letter have also been transferred.
SSP Krishna had said that the viral video on the social media having his picture and a woman's voice in the background is "morphed" and is part of "conspiracy" to malign his image. Krishna had also said he had provided the CMO with audio evidence of phone conversations between IPS officers in charge of postings and journalists acting as middlemen for the transfer seekers. But he had named no names; nor did he say who recorded the phone conversations.
