A massive fire broke out in slums near Sadar Bazar area of New Delhi on Monday, reports said. 30 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and efforts were on to douse the flames. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascretained. There were no reports of immediate casualties or injuries.
“A call was received today around 6.44 pm about a fire that broke in the jhuggis located near tonga stand in Sadar Bazar,†an officer from Delhi Fire Services said, adding that 100 jhuggis are located in the area.“Thirty firetenders have been rushed to the spot and rescue operations are still on,† he added.
