On Friday night, a woman tourist had met with an accident at Zuari bridge, one of the busiest bridges in Goa. Even before any ambulance or a police unit, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant came to the rescue of an injured woman. Yes, you read it right.
It is to be noted that Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had returned from Delhi after meeting several union ministers. On his way back from the Dabolim international airport to Panaji, Pramod Sawant witnessed an accident at Zuari bridge. He stopped the convoy and immediately rushed to the injured lady, who had fallen off the scooty she was driving.
Pramod Sawant, who himself is a doctor in alternative medicine, examined the wounds of a woman tourist and then escorted her to the nearest hospital in a car from his convoy.
The entire incident came to notice after a video surfaced on social media where Pramod Sawant could be seen helping the injured tourist.
"The Chief Minister also enquired whether the injured lady had noted down the number of the vehicle which had collided with a two-wheeler," an official attached to the Chief Minister's Office said.
It is worth mentioning here that Zuari bridge connects South Goa with North Goa.
