77,000 new beneficiaries to receive pensions in AP
Naidu Asked Officials To Explore Ways Of Delivering Pensions At The Residences Of Beneficiaries Or Crediting It To Their Bank Accounts, Based On Their Convenience.
Andhra Pradesh government will offer social security pensions to 77,000 new beneficiaries from April 1.
At a review meeting on disbursement of social security pensions (provided to senior citizens, persons with disabilities and others), Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was informed by Rural Development Minister K Mrunalini that the department has identified over 77,000 new eligible people, according to an AP state government release issued here today.
The chief minister directed the department to begin pension disbursements to new beneficiaries from April 1, the release stated.
With the inclusion of 77,000 beneficiaries, the number of beneficiaries now goes up to 42 lakh.
Naidu asked officials to explore ways of delivering pensions at the residences of beneficiaries or crediting it to their bank accounts, based on their convenience.
