Jammu: Major Attack Averted As Security Forces Recover 15 Kg Explosives From Bus

Security forces foiled a major attack in Jammu and Kashmir after they recovered around 15 kg of explosives at Jammu bus stand on Tuesday. According to reports, the explosive was found in a bus that had arrived from Kathua's Billawar. Two persons from Kashmir were detained, reported PTI quoting officials. Acting on a specific intelligence input, police intercepted the bus at KC Road, near the bus stand, the officials said. A bag containing over 15 kg of an explosive-like substance was recovered from the bus and two persons were detained for questioning in this connection, they added. The duo was coming from Kashmir to Jammu, the officials said, adding that further details were awaited.
On September 23, security forces had recovered 40 kg of explosives from Kathua region.
