J&K: Militant hideout busted, huge cache of arms and ammunition recovered

Security forces busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Baramulla district, a defence spokesman said on Monday.
The hideout was busted by a joint search party of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group of local police during a 48-hour operation in the outskirts of Baramulla town, 50 km from here, he said.
The operation was launched on Sunday and the recoveries made from the hideout included a rocket launcher, two rocket propelled grenades, an AK-56 rifle, four magazines with 286 rounds, a pistol with a magazine with 18 rounds.
A wireless set, a set of 'Khaki' uniform and two letter pad leaves of Jamiat-Ul-Mujahideen were also seized, the spokesman said.
None was, however, arrested during the operation, he added.
