Massive fire engulfs Hotel Pamposh in Srinagar; blaze-fighting operation underway
A massive fire broke out at the six-storey Hotel Pamposh in Srinagar's Regal Chowk on Saturday. Smoke could be seen billowing out of the hotel building as the top floor is completely gutted. However, no person has been reported trapped or injured in the incident.
"Jammu And Kashmir: Fire breaks out in Hotel Pamposh in Srinagar. Five fire tenders are present at the spot. Firefighting operation is underway. More details awaited," the news agency ANI reported.
Soon after the famous hotel of Srinagar - Pamposh caught fire this afternoon, five fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the blaze. The hotel has been evacuated as the fire-fighting operation is still underway.
According to an eyewitness, the fire started rolling up to the top floor of the Srinagar building that houses offices of many private firms, including a few news channels.
