Noor Ali, the Investigating Officer of the Short Street firing under the Shakespeare Sarani PS, was today removed from duty after a departmental inquiry charged him with negligence in investigations.According to police sources, during interrogation the occupant of the disputed property, Mamata Agarwal, said that several complaints were made earlier on threat to her by rivals, but no step was taken by the local police station and the officer in particular.
