Qatar Airways Doha flight hits water tanker before takeoff at Kolkata airport

A Qatar Airways Doha-Kolkata flight hit a water tanker just before takeoff at Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Wednesday night. All the 103 passengers on board the Qatar Airways QR 541 were safely evacuated, however, the aircraft’s belly was damaged. According to the airport officials, the aircraft was taken for repairs after the incident that occurred around 3 am.
As per initial reports, the driver of the tanker lost control and hit the aircraft. An inquiry has been ordered into the accident.
