Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday attacked the Congress Party as he addressed a public rally in Agra. Calling Congress a divisive party, he said that it believes in vote bank politics.
“Congress is a divisive party by nature, they believe in vote bank politics,” Modi said, adding, “even other parties like SP and BSP started following Congress's vote bank politics.”
Lashing out at the administration in Agra, he said that the city is on the banks of Yamuna yet there is shortage of water.
“Agra is on the banks of Yamuna, yet there is shortage of drinking water, because administration doesn't care. Those sitting in Lucknow don't know what the common man wants. That is the reason you are not getting water.”
He also asked the Centre as to why there is not a good airport in Agra even as the city receives large number of tourists throughout the year.
“Why can't the Centre make a good airport in Agra when there are so many tourists coming through out the year,” asked Modi.
