UP govt to build job portal for unemployed youth
The Uttar Pradesh Government Has Decided To Build A Web Portal On The Lines Of A Popular Job Site In Its Bid To Cater To About 72 Lakh Unemployed Youth In The State And To Facilitate Them In Finding Jobs.
The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to build a web portal on the lines of a popular job site in its bid to cater to about 72 lakh unemployed youth in the state and to facilitate them in finding jobs.
"The labour department has been asked to prepare a website similar to naukri.com to cater to 72 lakh unemployed youths. The site will help the youths all over the country and assist them in finding a suitable job", Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IDC) Alok Ranjan said.
The government has been providing unemployed youths with allowance, training, employment counselling etc. and now the construction of a web portal will help them search jobs.
Unemployed youths in the state can enter and upload their details such as educational background onto the portal and employers from all corners of the country will also be registered in a similar way, he said.
He said over 12 lakh youths have been provided unemployment allowance till July 17 last.
