Women hold god-like stature in the community; their safety utmost importance: Yogi Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said women hold god-like stature in the community and added that women's safety is of utmost importance.
The chief minister was addressing the International Media Conference.
Adityanath, speaking on violence against women, said that silence over such crimes prevalent in the society is equivalent to being a participant in the crime.

The chief minister also urged the people to join hands to end injustices in the society.
"The people should join hands to end the injustices in the society and seek help from the government in order to make the country a better and a safer place", Adityanath added.
