In a jolt to Shiv Sena, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to form minority government in Maharashtra, sources said on Saturday.
According to sources, the group of BJP MLAs will meet on October 27 and the oath taking will take place on October 28. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be present at the meeting.
Maharashtra BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis remains the frontrunner for the post of state Chief Minister, BJP sources said.
Fadnavis has been considered frontrunner for the post of CM though names of Gadkari and other senior leaders like Eknath Khadse and Vinod Tawde were also doing the rounds.
