India’s biggest cosmopolitan city Mumbai received Heavy rainfall late on Thursday night causing waterlogging and traffic jams in many localities.
During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, while the Colaba observatory remained dry, the Santa Cruz observatory witnessed 0.2 mm of rain.
The rainfall in Mumbai is due to Pre-Monsoon rainfall activity for at least two to three days.
At present, a trough is running from Maharashtra coast to the Kerala coast. Due to this, moisture incursion has been taking place in the western coast. In fact, Panjim in Goa has recorded a whopping 141 mm of rainfall along with Ratnagiri recording 134 mm of rainfall.
