Mumbai police tows away car with woman breastfeeding her baby inside
The Women Identified As Jyoti Male Said The Policemen Who Towed Away Her Car Didn’t Ask Her To Get Down Even Once. She Also Alleged The Cops Were Not Wearing Their Nameplate As Well.
Showing complete apathy towards a mother and her infant baby, Mumbai traffic cops on Saturday towed away a vehicle while an unwell woman inside it was breastfeeding her baby.
The woman was not well and even pleaded the cops to stop by showing them her medical prescription from the window of the car.
The women identified as Jyoti Male said the policemen who towed away her car didn’t ask her to get down even once. She also alleged the cops were not wearing their nameplate as well.
“The Policemen towing the car did not even once ask me to get down, even when I told them that I am breastfeeding my baby they still did not stop,†Jyoti Male told news agency ANI.
Mumbai Joint Commissioner of Police has ordered an immediate inquiry into the case and asked DCP Traffic West to visit the spot where the incident took place.
The Joint Commissioner has also asked DCP Traffic West to file a report by Sunday.
