Three people died after a house collapsed in Maharashtra Nagar Mankhurd, in Mumbai.
So far, 12 people have been rescued from the debris. Efforts to clear off the debris is underway. Prima facie, the mishap took place in the ground plus one-storey structure at around 6.15 AM due to a fire that broke out inside the house near MHADA colony in Mankhurd.
Two fire fighting vehicles have been rushed to the spot. Acording to media reports, ambulance has also reached the scene.
In the house collapse, 13 persons, including four women and seven children, were injured. They were rushed to a near by hospital, where two were declared brought dead while one succumbed to injuries during treatment, an official attached to Mumbai civic body's disaster control room said.
