Explosive device found near Imphal International Airport

An explosive device was found on Saturday near the Tulihal International Airport in Imphal West district, police said.
The powerful bomb was found on the Tidim Road in Ningombam village on Saturday evening at around 6 pm, said Jogeshchandra Haobijam, Superintendent of Police, Imphal West district.
Bomb squad team of Manipur police rushed to the spot and dismantled the Improvised Explosive Device (IED). Later, the bomb was disposed-off at a safe place, added the policeman.
Further investigation have begun by the police.
