According to a Met bulletin, Gaya was the hottest place in the state on Thursday recording a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees C.
The maximum temperature recorded in Purnea was 33.8 degrees C and the maximum temperatures recorded in Bhagalpur and Patna 33.1 degrees C and 32.6 degrees C respectively.
Rainfall occurred in almost all places across the state in the past 24 hours. It brought down maximum temperatures in major cities.
Gaya registered 24.8 mm rainfall in past 24 hours, the Met bulletin said. Purnea and Bhagalpur registered 0.6 mm and 0.4 mm rainfall respectively today between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm.
