Jharkhand police have sounded an alert in Giridih and Dhanbad in the wake of the brazen attack by Maoists on a train in neighbouring Bihar's Jamui district.
"We have alerted Giridih and Dhanbad following the incident," a senior police official said here.
The alert was sounded after about 150 Maoists attacked the Dhanbad-Patna Intercity Express in the afternoon.
Jamui borders Jharkhand's Giridih district.
