Stolen jewellery, estimated to be worth about Rs 10 crore, was recovered from the overhead water tank of the jewellery shop, the police said on Saturday.
"The jewellery stuffed in waterproof bags was recovered from inside the water tank of Anand Jewellers last night," Senior Superintendent of Police Saket Kumar Singh said here.
Getting a tip-off, a police team went to the shop and a police officer entered the tank and found out the jewellery stuffed in water-proof bags.
The shop owners had on October 16 reported to the police that jewellery worth about Rs 10 crore had been stolen from the shop situated on the Main Road in Ranchi when it was closed for three days following Durga Puja and Cyclone Phailin.
