Special school youth festival in Kerala begins

The 16th Kerala Special School Youth Festival was inaugurated by Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.An official release here said more than 2,500 students would participate in 83 items of the three-day festival.Hearing impaired and visually challenged students who had scored well and received A-grade in school level competitions are participating in the event.For the mentally challenged students, the deputy director of Education carried out a district-level screening, the release said.
