Andhra Pradesh: Girl molested, filmed by 3 youths for refusing to continue relationship

The Andhra Pradesh Police on Tuesday arrested three youths after a video made rounds in the social media showing the trio trying to molest a girl.

According to the video that is being shared on various social media platform shows a youth molesting a girl, while others recording the video. In the video one can see the victim begging and crying while the three were molesting her.

Andhra Pradesh Police said, “The three were arrested for molesting the girl, filming the incident and then circulating the video.”

The arrested have been identified as Sai (main accused), a BSc Agriculture student; Karthik a Btech student and Pawan, a son of a police constable.

A senior police officer of Prakasam police station said, “On learning about the video going viral, we identified the victim. We persuaded the victim and her family to lodge a complaint.”

He added during the course of investigation they have learnt that the main accused was in a relationship with the victim.

The officer added that Sai planned to rape her after the victim had started avoiding him after he tried to made advances on her.

“The three arrested asked the girl to accompany her in the pretext of going to a temple. On the way, the trio molested her and recorded the crime,” added the officer.

He further said that the three could not rape her as they were accompanied by another girl who prevented the trio from doing so.
