Goods and Services Tax: Telangana govt to pursue legal fight against Centre for taking unilateral decision

Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao is mulling to pursue a legal battle against the Centre in protest of taking one-sided decision in Goods and Services Tax (GST).

The Telangana government had expressed his reservation during GST Council which had taken place on Saturday. The state is not in favour levying ongoing projects schemes like drinking water, road and irrigation.

It is said the chief minister will write a letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard. Rao is of the view that the matter is subjected to injustice.

Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao had also expressed similar view during the GST council meeting and demanded that GST must be lifted from these projects.
