IndiGo, Air India Express among Top five cheapest airlines in the world

IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) and Air India Express have been ranked among the top five cheapest airlines in the world in providing international flights.

The state-owned Air India Express has been ranked second and IndiGo has been placed at the fifth position in a Global Flight Pricing Report prepared by Melbourne-based Rome2Rio—a multimodal travel planning site.

Air India Express, which mostly connects with the Gulf countries and Singapore has an average cost of $0.09 per km and IndiGo at 0.10 per km.

The outcome of the report was released this month. According to the report, four out of the top five cheapest airlines are in Asia. Indonesia AirAsia and the Primera Air are the other two to have been put in the top five.

Apart from these Etihad, Ryanair, Qantas and Vergin Australia were among the 10 most affordable airlines.

No airlines from United Kingdom’s and United Nation found a spot in the top cheapest airlines of the year 2018.
