Chocolate havoc: Chocolate meltdown caused German road to close
A Road In Western Town Of Westönnen, Germany Was Forced To Shut Down After A Tank Of Chocolate In A Factory Spilt And Poured Into The Street.
Chocolate liquid for a road, won’t that be a scene straight out of Johnny Depp’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Well, for a town in Germany, the scene for a chocolate road became a reality but at a convenience cost. According to reports, a road in the western town of Westönnen was brought to a standstill on Monday after a tank of chocolate in a factory spilt and poured into the street forcing the road to shut down.
Given the piercing weather, the chocolate quickly was reported to solidify quickly that required a lot of scrapping and shoving after an extra coat of chocolate was added to the thick graphite. According to BBC reports, about 10 sq m (108 sq ft) was cleared by 25 firefighters using shovels, hot water and blowtorches. Employees of the factory itself were also reported to have assisted in the chocolaty emergency.

The DreiMeister chocolate factory boss said if the spill had happened closer to Christmas, “that would have been a catastrophe”. Employees of the factory also helped with the sugary emergency.
"Despite this heartbreaking incident, it is unlikely that a chocolate-free Christmas is imminent," the fire department said.
DreMeister assured local media that its factory would return to normal operations on Wednesday.
