When it comes to impressive resume Arnold Schwarzenegger is it. Starting out as a young boy in the mid 1990’s who frequented the local movie theaters just to see bodybuilding idols unbeknownst that he will soon become one of the faces of body building, the Austrian-American politician, actor, filmmaker’s ascend to the top is more than impressive. Giving us some of the most iconic lines in movies such as ‘I Will be Back’ and ‘hasta la vista, baby’, the actor who will also be back as T-800 in Terminator: Dark Fate has pages of him not many have not read. On his 72nd birthday, we look at some of the impressive yet unknown facts about the actor:
Born to win, he won his first amateur Mr. Universe title in 1967.
After moving to California in 1968 to train and compete in bigger events, he won four more Mr. Universe titles and then the professional Mr. Olympia title six years in a row (1970–75) before retiring.
Then in 1980, he surprised the bodybuilding world by returning once again to the bodybuilding competition by claiming the Mr. Universe title.
In his first film, Hercules in New York(1970), Schwarzenegger English-language skills were so bad that the one point the producers decided to re-dub all of his dialogue.
In Thal, Austria, there is museum solely dedicated to Schwarzenegger’s life.
