Kavi Kumar Azad aka Dr Hansraj Hathi in tarak mehta ka ooltah chashmah dies of cardiac arrest
Kavi Kumar Azad popularly known as Dr Hansraj Hathi died of cardiac arrest on Monday at Mira Road Wockhardt Hospital. His character as Hansraj Hathi became household name from the popular comedy show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. Fans recognise him as Dr Hansraj Hathi but only few know know much about the actor. On the sad demise of Kavi Kumar Azad, let us take a look at some of the unknown facts about the actor.
Since his childhood, he Kavi Azad wanted to become a part of glitz and glamour and because of which he also ran away from his home at an early age.
Initially, he got some minor roles in television shows and movies but came into limelight with ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.
He used to weigh 254 kgs and shed 80 kgs after a surgery in the year 2010.
He keeps a guitar in his car at all times. However, he doesn’t know how to play it but one of his friend does. At times, Kavi Azad along with his friends go to Marine Drive at night and play guitar and sing songs.
The producer of the show in a statement said, “We are very sad to inform loss of our senior actor Kavi Kumar Azaad. He was playing the character of Dr Hathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma. We lost him to a massive cardiac arrest today morning. He was an amazing actor and a very positive person’’.
