Shashi Kapoor birth anniversary: Remembering Bollywood’s most handsomest hero ever
Shashi Kapoor has been one of the rare gems of the Indian film industry. He won laurels from all quarters for his exceptional acting skills and charming looks. The actor, who has time and again proved his mettle, died at 79, in 2017 after prolonged illness. He was part of several evergreen films such as Deewar (1975), Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978), Kabhi Kabhie (1976) and Namak Halaal (1982). His early life acting stint started with movies like Meena (1944), Tadbir and Bachpan (1945). Shashi Kapoor's name was credited under the screen name of Shashi Raj Kapoor. While growing up he dropped 'Raj' and kept only Shashi Kapoor. Shashi Kapoor got married to English actress Jennifer Kendal in July 1958. They acted in a number of films together like Junoon and Bombay Talkie. Jennifer and Shashi established Prithvi Theatre on 5 November 1978 in Mumbai.
