In Pics: From PM Modi To Amit Shah, Ministers Lit Lamps To Mark India’s Fight Against Coronavirus
India on Sunday 'switched off the lights' as part of a unique initiative to show solidarity against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. On PM Modi’s call, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and many other leaders came forward and lit the diyas at their residents. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged the nation to turn off lights for 9 minutes on Sunday and lit diyas, candles or mobile flashlights with an aim to bring the entire nation together in the fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak.
