Hema Malini’s picture-perfect launch of Lok Sabha Election campaign goes viral
Hema Malini, sitting BJP MP from Mathura has kickstarted her poll campaign from for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. On Sunday, she was seen carrying harvested wheat crop and working along with women in a field. Filing her nomination on March 25, Hema Malini had said, "There are several committed new young aspirants in the party. I would love to canvas for them if they would contest from Mathura in the next Lok Sabha election." Hema Malini had defeated the RLD's sitting MP Jayant Chaudhary in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls by a huge margin of 3,30,743 votes. Voting will be held in Mathura in the second round of seven-phase Lok Sabha polls on April 18. Results will be announced on May 23.
Hema Malini: I am so involved with the city and I feel some divine connection with this city. I have been playing Radha and Meera throughout my life and I was in a temple only when my candidature was announced.
Hema Malini: In the last two years I was able to get things done for people with the support of the Centre and the state government.
Hema Malini: I am also a 'chowkidarni'. Our prime minister is a 'chowkidar' and we all are assisting him.
Hema Malini: There is no other choice. Modi ji has to come back. It will be dangerous for the country if someone else wins.
