Though small and big stalls have been set up along the main thoroughfares, streets and intersections of the city, loaded with Independence Day decorations.
With 70th Independence Day of India on Aug 15, all-pervading national fervor is gripping the country. Preparations to celebrate the occasion are in full swing in the metropolis like other parts of the country.
As the celebratory festival is approaching closer, people throng markets and roadside stalls set up all over the city to buy national flags, badges, pins, frocks, T-shirts, wrist bands, bangles, caps and hats, balloons.
Special stalls have been set up in markets and bazaars for sale of national flags and green caps which are making roaring business.
